Privacy policy

Data collected

• Email address and password (the password is never stored in plain text, only in encrypted form via Supabase Auth).
• Username, last name, and first name if provided.
• Your library (tracked movies/shows, statuses, episodes watched) and your friendships on the site.
• Date of your last visit (updated at most once per hour), for internal usage statistics.
• IP address, kept briefly during a login, sign-up, or password reset attempt, solely to limit abuse (bots, password stuffing).

Why

Only to make the site work: sign you in, display your library, and share it with friends if you choose to add some. No data is ever sold or used for advertising.

Who can see what

Your username, last name, first name, and library are visible to your accepted friends (and, for friend search, your username/last name/first name are findable by other members). Your email address is never visible to other users.

Hosting and providers

Data is hosted with Supabase (database and authentication) and the site with Vercel. No data is shared with TMDB or JustWatch, which are used only to display public information about movies/shows.

Your email address is sent to Resend solely to send you an email (account confirmation, password reset), never for marketing. On the login, sign-up, and forgot-password forms, Cloudflare Turnstile analyzes a few technical signals (browser, IP) to tell a human from a bot, without identifying or tracking you elsewhere.

Cookies

TVico uses only technical cookies required for the site to work: the login session (Supabase) and anti-bot verification (Cloudflare Turnstile). No audience-measurement or advertising cookies are used. There's no consent banner, since the law only requires one for non-essential cookies (advertising, tracking), which are absent here.

You can request changes to or deletion of your account and data at any time via the Contact page.
